Horse Soldier

The Horse Soldier representing Combat Controllers, and Special Operations Warriors in their fight against Terror in Afghanistan, and in their fight in the Global War on Terror. Wall Street, New York, New York

This page is dedicated to all the Special Tactics Warriors of Combat Control, and the legacy they have created with valor.

Especially to those who have distinguished themselves in combat operations, or by significant contributions to the growth, development, and historical significance of the Air Commandos, Special Tactics Warriors and Combat Control Teams every where.

Most significantly, it is important to recognize the man and the legend that conceived of and created the foundation for Combat Control Teams as they exist today, CMSgt Alcide Benini.

The Alcide Benini Heritage Museum is the single resource preserving the history, heritage and legacy of Combat Control.  It is appropriate that this educational resource carries his name.

The Combat Control School Heritage Foundation, a North Carolina incorporated 501c3 tax exempt organization, works in concert with the Combat Control School staff to acquire, refurbish, exhibit and maintain CCT artifacts accessioned by the CMSgt Alcide S. Benini Heritage Center.

The comprehensive Benini Heritage Center displays lineage, artifacts, and equipment used since the inception of Combat Control Teams.

The Combat Controllers of yesterday paved the way for today’s Special Tactics Warriors. Each new generation of Combat Controllers paves the way for tomorrow’s Special Tactics warriors.

Help the CCSHF Preserve the History, Heritage and Legacy of all Combat Control for Special Tactics Warriors of all Generations, and for Visitors to this Historic Museum.

The Benini Heritage Center (BHC) mission is to educate Combat Control students, to bolster Combat Control Team morale, and to support United States Air Force recruiting and retention goals for Combat Control Team operators.

The CCSHF depends on donations to fund operations for the Heritage Center. 100% of all donations are applied to funding operations to create a historical record for Combat Control Students, for Special Operations Warriors, and for all visitors and guests to the Heritage Center.
